Discord bounty board bot: member tasks with escrowed coin rewards

The Bounty Board turns requests into paid tasks inside your community. A member posts a bounty, the reward is held in escrow from their Bank balance, other members claim it and submit their work, and the poster approves the best one. Disputes go to your staff, and nobody can run off with the coins.

What you get

Rewards held in escrow

The reward leaves the poster’s balance the moment the bounty is posted. Not enough coins? Nothing is posted. The winner is paid from escrow, and refunds come back from it.

Claim, submit, approve

Members claim a free slot, submit a link or a short description, and the poster reviews it with Approve, Reject or Send to staff, right in Discord.

Solo jobs or competitions

Let one member work on a bounty, or open several slots: the first approved submission takes the whole reward and the other claims close.

Disputes your staff settle

A rejected claimant can dispute within a time window. The bounty freezes and staff pay the claimant, refund the poster or dismiss it from a staff channel or the console.

Optional server fee

Take a fee from each payout in half-percent steps, sent to a treasury member or burned to keep your economy balanced. The panel shows the reward after the fee.

Records and a leaderboard

/bounty stats shows a member’s completed bounties, coins earned and bounties posted, and /bounty top ranks your best bounty hunters.

How it works

  1. Turn on the Bank and the Bounty Board

Open https://console.botgg.app, choose your server, switch on the Bank and the Bounty Board in the Engagement section, and pick a board channel. The /bounty commands then appear in your server.

  2. Members post bounties

With /bounty post: what needs doing, the reward, how many members may work on it and how long it stays open. Each bounty gets its own panel, or its own post in a forum channel.

  3. Hunters claim and deliver

Members press Claim, do the job and press Submit work. The poster gets a DM and reviews the submission from the panel or with /bounty review.

  4. Approve and pay

One click on Approve pays the winner at once. Unreviewed work can be approved automatically after a set time, and expired bounties refund the poster.

A task market that protects both sides

Every step happens in one safe transaction: claiming a slot, paying the winner, taking the fee and refunding the poster each happen exactly once, even if two people click at the same moment. A bounty with a submission still waiting never just expires: it goes to your staff so nobody’s work is ignored.

You decide who may post, the minimum and maximum reward, how many bounties and claims one member may have, which durations are offered and whether posters may cancel once someone has claimed. Free servers can have 25 live bounties at a time and Pro servers 500. Bounties use the Bank’s virtual server currency only: coins have no real-world value.

  • /bounty post, /bounty cancel, /bounty review: for posters

Frequently asked questions

What is a bounty board on Discord?

A channel where members post small jobs (a banner, a guide, a build, a translation) with a reward, and other members take them on. BotGG holds the reward in escrow and pays the member whose work the poster approves.

What if the poster never reviews my work?

Turn on auto-approve and a submission that isn’t reviewed within the set number of hours is approved and paid automatically. A bounty that expires with work still waiting goes to staff instead of being refunded.

What if my work is rejected unfairly?

If disputes are on, you can raise one within the dispute window. The bounty is frozen and your staff decide: pay you, refund the poster or dismiss the dispute. Both sides get a DM with the decision.

Can several members work on the same bounty?

Yes. The poster chooses how many claim slots it has. It works like a competition: the first submission the poster approves wins the whole reward, and the other claims are closed.

Is real money involved?

No. Rewards are paid in the server’s virtual Bank coins, which have no real-world value and can’t be bought from BotGG or cashed out.
