Discord forum bot: solved posts, required tags and tidy forum channels

Forum Manager adds the rules Discord forum channels are missing. Every new post can get a welcome message, a Mark solved button, a reminder to add a tag and links to similar posts and Help Center articles. Solved posts close themselves, quiet posts are warned and then closed, and the console shows posts, solve rate and response times per forum.

Game crashes on startup after the update
Since yesterday the game closes as soon as the menu loads. Anyone else?

What you get

Mark solved

A button under each post and /solved mark it solved: a solved tag, a ✅ in the title, a note in the thread and closing right away or after the delay you choose.

Required tags

Ask for at least one tag, or specific ones. Posts without tags get a reminder, or are closed after a grace period. Adding the tag clears the deadline.

Auto-close stale posts

Posts with no activity for the days you set get a warning with a Keep open button first, then close. Exempt tags, such as Announcements, are left alone.

Similar posts

When a new post looks like an existing one, the bot lists up to 3 similar posts so the answer may already be there. Matching is by title words, no AI.

Help Center suggestions

With the Help Center on, new posts get up to 3 matching articles, with links to the web version when the articles are public.

Forum stats

Posts, solve rate, median time to first reply and to solved, and posts closed as stale, per day and per forum, with a data-table view.

How it works

  1. Enable Forum Manager

Open https://console.botgg.app, choose your server and switch on Forum Manager in the Community section. Add a forum or media channel from the picker.

  2. Set the rules per forum

Choose required tags from the forum’s real tags, how solving works, when stale posts close and whether to show similar posts and a welcome message.

  3. Members post as usual

BotGG answers each new post with one message: your welcome text, tag reminders, similar posts, articles and the Mark solved button. Nothing to say? No message.

  4. Watch the numbers

The Stats tab shows posts and solve rate per day and per forum; the Posts tab lists every post with its status and a link to Discord.

Forums that answer, solve and clean up after themselves

Help forums fill up with posts nobody closes: solved questions stay open, duplicates pile up and threads from last month still look active. Forum Manager handles that on a timer. Solved posts close after the delay you set, posts without tags get a reminder or close, and stale posts are warned once before they close. A member reply in a post closed for inactivity opens it again.

You can manage 2 forums on the Free plan and 25 on Pro. Who can mark a post solved is up to you: the author and staff, or staff only. Staff are members with Manage Threads in the forum plus any extra roles you pick.

  • /solved: mark the forum post you are in as solved

What the bot needs

In each managed forum BotGG needs View Channel, Send Messages in Threads, Embed Links and Manage Threads; Server Doctor checks this for you. Forum Manager only reads post titles and tags, so it doesn’t need the Message Content intent, and it never stores message text.

Frequently asked questions

How do I mark a Discord forum post as solved?

With Forum Manager on, press the Mark solved button under the post or run /solved inside it. The bot adds the solved tag if you chose one, puts ✅ in front of the title, posts a note and closes the post right away or after the delay you set.

Can I make tags required in a Discord forum?

Discord’s own setting forces a tag when posting, but Forum Manager also works for posts that slip through or tags you want on top. Choose any tag or specific tags and a minimum number; posts without them get a reminder or are closed after the grace period.

How does auto-closing stale posts work?

Turn on the stale rule and set the days of inactivity. The bot first posts a warning with a Keep open button, and closes the post if nobody replies or presses it in time. Posts with an exempt tag are skipped.

Does Forum Manager use AI?

No. Similar posts and Help Center suggestions are found by comparing words in titles, in English, Russian and Hebrew. Nothing is sent to an AI service.

How many forums can I manage?

2 forums on the Free plan and 25 on Pro, each with its own rules. See pricing.
