Discord auction house bot: a player market for your server economy

Market turns your server economy into a real trading floor. Members list items from their Shop inventory at a fixed price or as an auction with a start price, bid step and optional buy-now price. The item and the high bid sit in escrow until the deal is done, outbid members get their coins back at once, and a market tax you choose keeps inflation in check.

What you get

Items from the Shop

Members sell items they already own in their Shop inventory, so nothing new is minted. Roles, colors and items with staff delivery can’t be traded.

Fixed price or auction

Buy now at a set price, or run an auction from 1 hour to 7 days with a start price, a minimum bid step and an optional buy-now price.

Escrow you can trust

A listed item can’t be used or sold twice. Bids are taken when placed and refunded the moment someone bids more, so every coin is accounted for.

Anti-sniping

A bid in the last minutes extends the auction, so a last-second bid can’t steal it. You set the window, the extension and how often it may happen.

Market tax

A tax from 0 to 50 % is taken from each sale and burned, a steady sink for the server currency. The console shows exactly what the seller receives.

Moderation built in

Remove listings with a refund, ban members from the market, cap live listings per member, block items or give them a price floor and ceiling.

How it works

  1. Turn on the Bank and the Shop

Market uses the Bank currency and items from the Shop. Open https://console.botgg.app, enable both, then switch on Market in the Engagement section.

  2. Set the rules

Pick the tax, the price range, which listing types and durations members can use, the anti-sniping window and an optional market channel.

  3. Members list and bid

A member runs /market sell, picks an item from their inventory and a price. Others find it with /market browse and bid or buy with a button.

  4. The bot settles every deal

When an auction ends the item moves to the winner and the seller is paid minus tax, exactly once, with DMs and a post in the market channel.

A Discord auction house on top of your Shop and Bank

Market is the trading layer of your server economy. Coins are earned with the Bank, Economy games and other features, items are bought in the Shop or won as rewards, and Market lets members trade those items with each other at prices they set.

Every trade happens in one database transaction: the item and the coins move together or not at all, even when two members click at the same moment or the bot restarts. Staff see live listings, sales with a price chart per item, and can step in at any time.

Frequently asked questions

What can members sell on the market?

Plain items they own in their Shop inventory. Roles, color roles and items that staff deliver by hand stay with the member who bought them. You can also block single items or set a price floor and ceiling for them.

How does escrow work?

When an item is listed it leaves the seller’s inventory until the listing ends. A bid takes the coins from the bidder right away and returns them the moment someone bids more, so a winner always has the money and a seller always has the item.

What happens when an auction ends?

The item goes to the highest bidder and the seller receives the price minus the market tax. If nobody bid, the item returns to the seller. Members get a DM and the market channel shows the result.

Where does the market tax go?

It is burned: the coins leave the economy. That makes the tax a useful sink against inflation in servers with lots of daily rewards.

Can staff undo a listing?

Yes. Staff can remove any live listing from the console; the high bid is refunded and the item goes back to the seller. Members can also be banned from the market, with their listings removed.
