Welcome image cards
A 1024×360 card rendered for every join: the member’s avatar in a gradient ring, their name and @handle, your server name and a line like “Member #1,284”.
First impressions happen in the first ten seconds. BotGG Welcome messages greet every new member in the channel you choose, with your own text and an image card showing their avatar, name and member number — and can say goodbye, send a DM and wait until new members pass verification.

Welcome to Nightfall, @Mira! 👋 Grab your roles in #pick-your-roles and say hi in #general.

👋 Alex has left Nightfall. We are now 1,283.
A 1024×360 card rendered for every join: the member’s avatar in a gradient ring, their name and @handle, your server name and a line like “Member #1,284”.
Neon, glass or minimal, with your accent and background colors or your own background image. Title and subtitle are yours to write.
Write the message with placeholders — {user} pings the new member, plus {username}, {displayName}, {server} and {count}. Leave it empty for a ready-made greeting in your server’s language.
Post a goodbye when someone leaves, in the welcome channel or a separate one, with its own text and optional card. Nobody gets pinged.
Send new members a private message with the essentials: where the rules are, how to pick roles, where to say hi. Closed DMs are skipped quietly.
With Verification on, the greeting can wait until the member passes — so bots that never verify never get a welcome.
Open Welcome messages in the web console, enable the feature and pick the channel for greetings.
Type your message and click the variable chips to insert the member’s mention, name, server name or member count.
Turn on the image card, pick a style, colors or a background image and set the title and subtitle. The preview updates as you type.
Optionally enable goodbye messages, a welcome DM, waiting for verification and ignoring bots. Save, and the next join is greeted.
Plain text greetings get lost in chat; a welcome image makes each join feel like an event. BotGG draws the card on its own servers for every new member: rounded background from your colors or image, glows, the avatar with a gradient ring, a bold title and the member’s name, which shrinks to fit long names. Hebrew, Russian and emoji names render correctly, right-to-left included.
If an avatar or background image can’t load, the card falls back gracefully, and if the image can’t be rendered at all, the text greeting is still sent — new members never go unwelcomed.
Welcome messages work best together with the rest of your onboarding:
No slash commands — everything is configured in the web console and runs automatically.
Invite BotGG, open Welcome messages in the web console, enable it and pick a channel. That’s enough for a default greeting in your server’s language; customize the text and card whenever you like.
Yes. Turn on the image card and every greeting includes a generated image with the member’s avatar, name, @handle and member number, in the neon, glass or minimal style.
Yes. Paste a link to an image and it becomes the card background, darkened slightly so the text stays readable. Without one, the card uses your background and accent colors.
Enable the welcome DM and write the message with the same placeholders. Members who have DMs from servers turned off simply won’t receive it.
By default bots are greeted too; turn on “ignore bots” to skip them. If you use Verification, you can also greet members only after they pass.
Add BotGG for free, then switch features on in the web console.
