Discord shop bot with a role shop and custom items

Give your server currency something to buy. The BotGG Shop sells roles, time-limited roles, name colors and custom items for coins from the Bank — from one store or a whole shopping district of themed stores. Members browse with /shop, confirm the price and get their role instantly — every purchase is atomic, logged and refundable.

What you get

A real role shop

Sell any role permanently or for a set time — a week of VIP, a day of a special badge. Buying a timed role again extends it, and the bot removes it when time is up.

Name colors

Offer pre-made color roles as items. With exclusive colors on, buying a new color removes the member’s previous one, so nobody stacks five.

Custom items and inventory

Create anything: a consumable that grants a role on /use, or an item your staff deliver by hand — each purchase posts a request with a Mark as delivered button.

Stock, limits and requirements

Limit stock, cap purchases per member, require a role or a minimum level, hide secret items or pause sales with one toggle.

Safe purchases and refunds

Price check, stock, balance and payment happen in one transaction; if Discord refuses the role, the coins come back automatically. Refund anything from the console and follow revenue and top items.

Several stores, one wallet

Open a Bakery, a Bar and a Restaurant, each in its own channels and with a store panel and a Browse button. Every store takes the same Bank balance.

How it works

  1. Turn on the Bank and the Shop

The Shop uses your Bank currency, so enable both in the web console. Set the currency name and emoji in the Bank settings.

  2. Add stores and items

Optionally create stores (name, emoji, color, channels, panel). Then pick an item type — role, color or custom item — and set its store, emoji, name, price, category, stock and requirements. A live preview shows /shop and the buy confirmation.

  3. Members shop in Discord

/shop opens a private, paged catalog — in a store’s channel that store, elsewhere a store picker — or members press Browse on a store panel; /buy finds an item by name. Members see their balance before and after, then confirm.

  4. Deliver, refund, review

Staff handle delivery requests in Discord or the console fulfilment queue, refund when needed and check the stats.

What you can sell in a Discord role shop

Most servers start with roles and colors, then add perks that need a human: a custom emoji slot, a channel rename, a spot in the next tournament. BotGG handles all three kinds in one catalog, sorted by drag-and-drop and grouped by categories members can filter in /shop.

Bigger servers build a shopping district: a Bakery in #bakery, a Bar in #tavern, a Restaurant next door. Each store has its own name, emoji, color and description, opens directly when /shop is used in its channels and can keep a panel with a Browse button pinned there. Items without a store stay in the main store, so an existing shop keeps working unchanged.

  • Role — permanent or timed, e.g. “VIP for 7 days”.
  • Color — a pre-created color role, optionally exclusive and timed.
  • Custom item — goes to the member’s /inventory; can be consumable (used with /use, may grant a role for a while) or delivered by staff.

Part of a complete server economy

Members earn coins through the Bank — daily rewards, transfers and payouts from staff — and spend them in the Shop or on paid entries in Giveaways. Timed roles keep coins flowing instead of piling up. The Discord server economy guide shows how to balance prices and rewards.

Frequently asked questions

How do I make a shop on my Discord server?

Enable the Bank and the Shop in the web console, add items and set prices. Members open the store with /shop; no extra setup in Discord is needed.

Can I sell roles that expire?

Yes. Set a duration on a role or color item and the bot removes the role automatically when time is up. Buying it again extends the current time.

Why can’t the bot give a role from the shop?

The role must be below BotGG’s highest role and must not be managed by an integration. The item editor warns you about hierarchy problems, and if Discord still refuses, the member is refunded right away.

Can members buy things with real money?

No. The Shop only uses your server’s own Bank currency, which members earn inside your server. Coins have no cash value.

How many items can the shop have?

Free servers can list 10 items; Pro raises the limit. See pricing for every plan limit.

Can I have several shops on one Discord server?

Yes. Create stores such as a Bakery, a Bar or a Restaurant: 3 on the Free plan and 25 on Pro, besides the main store. All of them use the same Bank balance, and every purchase in the log and the ledger names its store.
