Acceptable Use Policy
On this page
Version 1.1 · Effective 27 September 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") forms part of the BotGG Terms of Service. It applies to everyone who uses the Service, including:
- Server Owners and Members;
- Customers;
- Custom Bot owners;
- White Label Tenants and their End Customers.
Server Owners are responsible for how BotGG is configured and used in their Servers. Tenants are responsible for their End Customers' compliance.
1. Follow the law and Discord's rules
You must use the Service only lawfully. You must also comply with:
- the Discord Terms of Service;
- the Discord Community Guidelines;
- where relevant, the Discord Developer Policy.
Anything Discord prohibits is also prohibited here.
2. Prohibited content and conduct
You must not use the Service (including messages the bot posts, cards, forms, tickets, transcripts, backups, alerts or Flows) to create, send, store, promote or facilitate:
- Child sexual abuse material or any sexualisation or exploitation of minors. We report such material to the competent authorities and to Discord.
- Illegal content or activity, including: - content that infringes intellectual property, privacy or publicity rights; - the sale of illegal goods or services; - terrorist or violent extremist content.
- Harassment, threats, hate speech, doxxing, and sharing someone's private information without consent.
- Spam, including: - unsolicited bulk messages or DMs; - using features that send direct messages for advertising, promotion or bulk messaging, or to contact Members where they would not reasonably expect it (see section 10.3 of the Terms); - mass mentions; - repetitive posts; - invite spam; - misuse of scheduled announcements, reminders, giveaways, alerts or Flows to flood channels or users.
- Raids and coordinated disruption of other Servers or communities, and ban-evasion tools.
- Scams, fraud and phishing, including: - fake giveaways or "free Nitro" schemes; - impersonating Discord, BotGG, another bot or a real person; - credential harvesting through forms, tickets, verification questions or Flows.
- Malware, including viruses, token grabbers, cryptominers, malicious links or files, and command-and-control traffic.
- Gambling for real money or items of real-world value. This includes selling or buying Virtual Items (XP, levels, currency, shop items) for real money.
- Sensitive data collection you have no right to perform. For example, do not use forms, applications, verification or tickets to collect passwords, payment card data, government ID numbers, health data or data about children.
- Misleading BotGG Links. A BotGG Links slug (the name after botgg.click/) and its landing page (title, description, tags and images) must honestly represent your Server. Do not use a slug or landing content that: - impersonates, or suggests an affiliation with, a brand, company, game, creator or community you don't represent (for example
discord,steam, or another Server's name); - baits people with fake rewards or scams (for examplefree-nitro,steam-gift, or "claim your prize"); - otherwise misleads visitors about the Server the link leads to.
We may disable a link, reassign its slug to another Server, or reserve slugs (for example brand names and common scam terms) at any time. Anyone can report a link with the "Report" link on its landing page.
3. Flows, HTTP requests and integrations
When you use Flows (automations), webhooks, HTTP requests, Google Sheets, external databases or any user-supplied URL, you must not:
- Attack or probe third parties. This includes: - denial-of-service attacks; - traffic flooding; - port or vulnerability scanning; - brute-forcing logins; - exploiting vulnerabilities; - testing systems you are not authorised to test.
- Scrape or harvest data from websites or APIs in breach of their terms, robots rules or rate limits, or collect personal data without a lawful basis.
- Circumvent our outbound-network protections. For example, do not try to reach private, internal, loopback or cloud-metadata addresses through DNS tricks, redirects or other techniques.
- Use credentials you are not authorised to use, or store other people's credentials in the Service without their permission.
- Send personal data to endpoints or databases where you have no lawful basis to send it.
- Relay or proxy traffic for purposes unrelated to automating your Server, or use the Service as general-purpose compute, crawling or messaging infrastructure.
4. Plans, limits and reselling
You must not:
- circumvent plan limits, quotas, seats or feature gates, for example: - by creating multiple accounts or Servers to multiply Free-plan quotas beyond normal community use; - by manipulating requests; - by sharing one paid seat across more Servers than your plan allows;
- remove, hide or alter the "Powered by BotGG" attribution where your plan shows it;
- resell, sublicense, rent or provide the Service to third parties as a service, except under a White Label plan and within its terms;
- misuse free trials, promotions or refunds, for example by repeatedly subscribing and asking for refunds.
5. Protecting the Service
You must not:
- reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the Service, or attempt to extract its source code, except where the law expressly allows it;
- access or attempt to access data, Servers or accounts that you are not authorised to access. This includes other Servers' data through the console or API;
- interfere with, overload or disrupt the Service, its infrastructure, or other users' use of it;
- use bots, scripts or automated tools against the console, the API or the bot, other than the interfaces we provide, for example for scraping, credential stuffing or automated account or Server creation;
- bypass rate limits, authentication, CAPTCHAs or other security measures;
- probe, scan or test the Service's vulnerabilities, except as allowed in section 7.
6. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and cooperate with Discord and the authorities. Depending on the severity, we may do any of the following without notice:
- remove or disable content we store;
- disable features, Flows, credentials, webhooks, Custom Bots or Tenant domains;
- disable BotGG Links, reassign their slugs or reserve slugs;
- limit usage;
- make the bot leave a Server;
- suspend or terminate accounts, Servers or subscriptions;
- report the matter to Discord or law enforcement.
Where the violation is serious, no refund is owed, except where the law requires one. To report abuse, write to info@botgg.app with details and evidence (Server ID, message links, screenshots).
7. Security research
If you discover a vulnerability, please report it to info@botgg.app and give us reasonable time to fix it before disclosing it. While researching, do not:
- access, modify or delete other users' data;
- degrade the Service;
- use social engineering;
- test in a way that affects other users.
We will not take legal action against good-faith research that follows these rules.
8. Changes
We may update this AUP. Material changes will be announced as described in the Terms.
