Discord server pet bot: a virtual pet your whole community raises

Community Pet gives your server a mascot that lives on your activity. Members feed it and play with it, every chat message and minute in voice keeps it happy and energetic, and it grows from an egg to a legend. Each day it makes a few wishes the server can fulfil together. Neglect it and it gets sad; on hardcore mode it can even run away.

What you get

Grows from egg to legend

Egg, baby, teen, adult, legendary: every bit of care earns XP, and each stage up is announced. Choose a dragon, cat, dog, fox, bunny or slime.

Feed and play

/pet feed costs a few Bank coins (free while the Bank is off) and /pet play uses energy, each with a per-member cooldown so everyone gets a turn.

Lives on your activity

Chat messages make it happier and voice hangouts give it energy, with a fair cap per member and per hour. Ignore channels you don’t want counted.

Daily wishes

Every day the pet wishes for things like “chat 200 messages”, “spend 60 minutes together in voice” or “hear from 10 different members”. Fulfilled wishes give big XP.

Treats from the Shop

Turn existing Shop items into treats with their own effect on food, happiness, energy and XP. Members give them with /pet treat.

Caretaker leaderboard

Feeding, treats, play and activity earn care points. /pet caretakers shows who looks after the pet the most.

How it works

  1. Turn on Community Pet

Open https://console.botgg.app, choose your server and switch on Community Pet in the Engagement section. The /pet commands then appear in your server.

  2. Adopt your pet

Pick a species, a name and a colour in the console (or /pet adopt in Discord). It starts as an egg, so the whole server sees it hatch.

  3. Set the rules of care

Choose the announcement channel, how fast food, happiness and energy go down, the feeding cost and cooldowns, the Shop treats and the daily wishes.

  4. Raise it together

Members use /pet view, /pet feed and /pet play or the buttons on the pet card. The bot announces hatching, stage ups, hunger and fulfilled wishes.

A mascot that reflects how alive your server is

Food, happiness and energy go down a little every hour and come back as your community takes care of the pet, so its mood is a friendly mirror of your server’s activity. /pet view posts a drawn card with the pet, its stage, mood, XP bar and three stat bars, and the Stat Channels variable {petMood} can show its mood in a channel name.

Hardcore mode is off by default: without it a neglected pet only gets sad. Turn it on and a pet left hungry and unhappy for too long gets sick and, if nobody helps, runs away, and a manager has to adopt a new egg. The Free plan supports up to 3 Shop treats, Pro up to 10.

Frequently asked questions

What is a Discord server pet?

A virtual pet that belongs to the whole server rather than to one member. Everyone helps raise it, and its mood shows how active and caring the community is. It is a fun, low-effort way to bring people back every day.

Can the pet die?

No. Without hardcore mode a neglected pet just gets sad. With hardcore mode on, a pet left hungry and unhappy for too long gets sick and may run away; it recovers when food and happiness are back above 50 %, and a manager can always adopt a new egg.

Does feeding cost coins?

If the Bank is on, feeding costs the amount you set (25 coins by default), which helps balance your economy. If the Bank is off, feeding is free. Playing never costs coins but uses the pet’s energy.

Which pets can I choose?

A dragon, a cat, a dog, a fox, a bunny or a slime, each in five stages from egg to legendary, in the colour you pick. The card and the console show the same drawn art.

How do treats work?

Pick items from your server’s Shop and give each one an effect on food, happiness, energy and XP. A member who owns the item can give it with /pet treat, and one unit is used. Free servers can set up to 3 treats, Pro up to 10.
