Ten live variables
Members, humans, bots, online, boosts, boost tier, people in voice, today’s date — plus the top level from Levels and the coin supply from Bank.
Show your server’s growth where everyone looks first — the channel list. BotGG’s Discord member count bot turns voice or category channels into live server stats channels like 👥 Members: 12,480, updated automatically within Discord’s rename limits.
🔊 👥 Members: 12,480
🔊 🟢 Online: 3,215
🔊 🚀 Boosts: 14
🔊 🎙️ In voice: 57

Members, humans, bots, online, boosts, boost tier, people in voice, today’s date — plus the top level from Levels and the coin supply from Bank.
Templates like 🟢 Online: {online} or 🚀 {boosts} boosts · Tier {boostTier}. Mix text, emoji and several variables in one channel name.
Use locked voice channels (members see them but can’t join) or a category header. The bot creates the channel for you or uses one you already have.
Values are checked every minute, but a channel is renamed only when the text actually changed and never more often than Discord allows.
Numbers follow your server’s language, and compact mode turns 12,480 into 12.5K. The date uses your server time zone.
Add a Members, Online, Boosts or In voice counter from preset chips, then tweak the text. A live example shows the exact channel name.
Open https://console.botgg.app, choose your server and switch on Stat channels. Pick a category for new counters and whether voice counters are locked.
Click a preset or write a template with variable chips. Choose voice or category, and let the bot create the channel or attach an existing one.
The bot creates the channel within seconds and keeps its name current. Status badges in the console show if something needs attention, like a missing permission.
Discord lets a bot rename a channel only twice per ten minutes. Many member count bots hit that wall and silently stop updating. BotGG recalculates the values every 60 seconds, but renames a channel only when its rendered name differs and at least six minutes have passed since the last rename. If Discord refuses — a rate limit or a missing permission — the bot backs off and shows the error in the console.
Locked voice counters deny Connect for @everyone while the bot keeps its own access, so the channel stays a clean, read-only display. Deleting a counter channel in Discord removes the counter too; removing it in the console can delete the channel for you.
A visible member counter makes a growing community feel alive. Pair it with a welcome message for new members, and show off the highest level reached on the server with a 🏆 Top level: {topLevel} channel. How many counters you can run depends on your plan — see pricing.
No slash commands — everything is configured in the web console and runs automatically.

Enable Stat channels in the BotGG console and add a counter with the Members preset. The bot creates a locked voice channel named like 👥 Members: 12,480 and keeps the number up to date.
Discord allows only two channel renames per ten minutes. BotGG checks every minute but renames at most once every six minutes and only when the text changed, so your counter never gets stuck on a rate limit.
Not when channel locking is on (the default): @everyone can see the channel but can’t connect. You can turn locking off in the settings.
Yes. When adding a counter, pick an existing voice or category channel that isn’t used by another counter, and the bot will take over its name.
No — everything is set up in the web console. Once a counter exists, it runs by itself.
Add BotGG for free, then switch features on in the web console.
