A Tatsu alternative for XP, rank cards and a server economy

Tatsu is known for community engagement on Discord: XP and levels, a currency and profile cards. If you’re looking at a Tatsu alternative, BotGG covers those jobs with separate modules — XP with image rank cards, a server currency with daily rewards, a shop to spend it in, plus giveaways and birthday posts — all set up in one web console.

What servers usually want from an engagement bot

Engagement bots keep members coming back: a level that grows as they chat, a card worth showing off, coins to collect every day and something worth buying with them. The details decide whether it works — levels that can’t be farmed with spam, and a currency your staff can trust.

In BotGG each of these is its own module. Turn on only what fits your server, and every change goes through a draft and a single save.

XP, levels and rank cards

Levels award XP for messages, time in voice with at least two people and reactions from others, plus a daily streak bonus. Short or repeated messages earn nothing, and AFK voice doesn’t count. Role rewards can stack or keep only the highest, and timed XP events run with /levels boost.

/rank renders an image card with avatar, level, rank, XP bar, streak and badges in neon, glass or minimal style, and members can pick their own accent color. Twenty built-in achievements show up as badges, /leaderboard ranks by XP, voice time, messages, streak or season, and custom card backgrounds and seasons are free on every plan.

Currency, shop, giveaways and more

The rest of the engagement toolkit works together:

  • Bank — your own currency name and emoji, /daily rewards with streaks, /pay between members, /balance and /bank leaderboard, and a ledger of every change. Levels can pay coins for each level gained.
  • Shop — sell permanent or timed roles, name colors and custom items for coins, with stock, per-member limits and a minimum level. Free servers can list 10 items.
  • Giveaways — entry requirements, bonus tickets for chosen roles and optional entry fees paid in your server currency.
  • Birthdays — a celebration post at your chosen hour, a 24-hour birthday role and an optional DM.
  • Games — LFG posts, linked game accounts and a /games profile image card with each member’s games and stats.

How to switch to BotGG

  1. Invite BotGG

Add BotGG with the invite link and move its role above the level rewards and shop roles it should give out.

  2. Set up Levels and Bank

In the console, choose XP sources, a level curve and reward roles, then name your currency and set the daily reward.

  3. Restore key members

There is no import from other bots. Admins can set a member’s XP or level with /levels set and adjust balances with /bank add.

  4. Open the shop and switch off duplicates

List a few roles or colors in the Shop, then disable leveling and economy in the old bot so members don’t get two level-up messages.

Frequently asked questions

Is BotGG a good Tatsu alternative?

If you use an engagement bot for XP, rank cards, a server currency and a shop, BotGG covers those. It doesn’t include minigames for earning coins — coins come from daily rewards, levels, invites and staff payouts.

Can I move XP or coins from Tatsu?

There is no import. Admins can set XP or a level with /levels set and add coins with /bank add, which is enough to carry over your most active members by hand.

Can members customize their rank card?

Yes. Members can pick their own accent color, and admins can set a custom card style, colors and background image — free on every plan.

What does BotGG cost?

See the pricing page for what each plan includes.

Is BotGG affiliated with Tatsu?
