A Ticket Tool and Tickets.bot alternative for Discord support

Ticket Tool and Tickets.bot are well-known ticket bots for Discord. If you’re looking at alternatives, BotGG Tickets covers the same job — private support conversations opened from a panel — and lives next to your other server features in one web console.

What a ticket bot alternative needs to do

Whatever bot you use today, a ticket system has the same core: a member clicks a button, a private channel or thread opens for them and your staff, the conversation happens, and when it’s done the ticket closes with a record of what was said. Everything else — forms, teams, claiming, working hours — is about keeping that flow fast as your server grows.

BotGG Tickets is built around that flow. You design panels in the console, post them with one click or /tickets panel send, and your team works the tickets with buttons and /ticket commands right inside Discord.

How BotGG Tickets works

The setup is split into panels (where tickets start) and server-wide settings (who handles them):

  • Panels and multi-panels — each panel has its own embed, button, category, naming scheme and welcome message; several panels can share one message as buttons or a select menu.
  • Forms — ask questions in a modal before the ticket opens, so staff get the details up front.
  • Channels or private threads — pick per panel; overflow and “waiting for reply” categories are supported.
  • Staff roles and teams — admins, support staff and named teams you assign per panel, plus /ticket oncall.
  • Claiming and transfers — /ticket claim, unclaim and transfer, with control over what other staff can see.
  • Support hours — a weekly schedule with a time zone; outside hours you either block new tickets or warn the member.

Closing, transcripts and follow-up

Tickets can be closed by button or /ticket close with a reason, by a close request the member confirms (/ticket closerequest), or automatically when the member leaves or goes quiet. Transcripts can be posted to a staff channel and sent to the member, and an optional feedback survey runs after closing. Saved replies (/tag), a blacklist, access rules per panel and /tickets stats round it off.

Read the Tickets feature page for the full list, or follow the Discord ticket system guide to build your first panel. Pair it with Logs if you also want a record of server events.

How to switch to BotGG

  1. Invite BotGG

Add BotGG with the invite link and give its role access to your ticket categories.

  2. Rebuild your panels in the console

Enable Tickets in the console, set your staff roles and teams, then recreate each panel, form and welcome message. Tags (saved replies) can be added the same way.

  3. Test in a staff-only channel

Post a new panel somewhere only staff can see, open a ticket with a test account, claim it, close it and check the transcript.

  4. Swap the panels

Post the BotGG panel in your public support channel and remove the old bot’s panel so members only see one button.

  5. Retire the old configuration

Let open tickets in the old bot finish, then remove its ticket setup. Past transcripts stay wherever the old bot stored them.

Frequently asked questions

Is BotGG a good Ticket Tool alternative?

If you need panel-based support tickets with forms, staff teams, claiming and transcripts, BotGG Tickets covers that use case. Test it in a staff-only channel before you switch.

Can I move my open tickets from another bot?

No, open tickets aren’t imported. The usual approach is to post the BotGG panel for new tickets and let the old ones finish.

Does BotGG support tickets in threads?

Yes. Each panel can open tickets as private threads in the panel channel instead of separate channels.

Can I limit tickets to working hours?

Yes. Support hours use a weekly schedule and a time zone, and you choose whether to block new tickets or just warn members.

Is BotGG affiliated with Ticket Tool or Tickets.bot?

No. BotGG is an independent bot. These names are mentioned only to describe a common use case.
